4 Books to Read in Quarantine
We are around forty days of the quarantine life over here, and I’ve been loving reading new or re-reading old books. Some of the non-fiction options I’ve had on my to-read list were made FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
So I wanted to share with you the ones that have helped me in this season.
Here are 4 books to read in quarantine and during social distancing that will help inform, entertain, and get your mental health where it needs to be.
Secrets of the Happy Soul
Katie Orr
I know Katie Orr and know she stands for nothing more or nothing less than what God presents in His Word. This book defines “happiness” both biblically and in a worldly sense. Enlightening and encouraging, read this is you’re looking for deep satisfaction in life.
It’s Okay Not to Be Okay
Sheila Walsh
This one had me in tears multiple times. Sheila Walsh HAS A WAY TO MY SOUL. I think it’s her biblically-based truths that gently cut straight to my current emotional and spiritual state of being.
It’s All Under Control
Jennifer Dukes Lee
I originally read this a few years ago, but the truths Jennifer shares in this book were MADE for the quarantine life. She talks about letting go of the control we thought we had and finding peace throughout. Every living person needs to read this.
Rhythms of Renewal
Rebekah Lyons
Ahhhh, sigh. Rest, restore, connect, and create … the rhythms Rebekah lays out really DO help trade stress and anxiety for peace and purpose.
At the top of the books lists for weeks, you won’t be sorry to check this one out.
