So Christmas was just yesterday and next week is Lent.
WHERE HAS ALL THE TIME GONE??
Do you have anything special planned for leading up to the Easter holiday? Fasting? Bible Studies? I’m still processing through how I’ll fast this year (last year it was from Facebook… that’s one I HIGHLY recommend.), but have made a decision on bible study.
I do a lot of bible studies. I just finished up Wendy Blight’s “I Am Loved” (so good!), am studying Mark with my moms group, and am currently in the middle of “Seamless
But I love it. I truly – truly – believe there is not much better than a good bible study. But sometimes, we just need to read God’s Word. You know what I mean?

Just read it. Church-y people call this “abiding.”
To be there with the open Bible and let His words run through your mind just as they are written.
There’s not always a need to discuss passages openly with a group, to learn lineages and hidden theological meanings, or even understand Greek or Hebrew root word context.
So, with Lent coming up next week, I’ve vowed not to dive into another Christian curriculum, as great as they all are. I will be reading through my Bible instead. Through all four gospels to be exact.

We’ll simply read God’s Word each day and by the end, we’ll have completed all of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
