A Girl Mama’s Dream: Faithgirlz Backpack Bible (A Review)

My daughter, McKenna, had just begun asking for her own Bible when I was offered the chance to review the NIV Faithgirlz Backpack Bible. (Jesus’ timing is impeccable, isn’t it?)

When it arrived in the mail, she quickly laid claim to it and separated herself to read the rest of the evening. She even takes it to school with her (without prompting from me).

As I’ve done before, I allowed McKenna to write her own review. Here you go, straight from the mouth of the user.

Hi, this is my review on NIV Faithgirlz Follow Your Heart Backpack Bible. I like that it makes the vocabulary easier to read for young girls. And this little bible can be carried in a girl’s backpack or travel with it, it’s so small. And it has activities to do with friends or by themselves. This bible helped me learn more about Christ our Lord. I have been using this for almost a month now! I absolutely love this bible. And I am happy that this bible is PINK (my favorite color)! It has taken up about 45 minutes of iPad time at night. And my mom won’t let me use the iPad, so I read that bible. Overall, this Bible is awesome. I love it so much and I think you should read this amazing Bible! Well that was my review on the Faithgirlz Bible. BYE!

~McKenna, age 8

This line, y’all:

“It has taken up about 45 minutes of iPad time at night. And my mom won’t let me use the iPad, so I read that Bible.”

I DIE.

Because YES.

She speaks truth. #hysterical

Let’s be real – I’m sick of her (and her sister) always fighting over and gluing their faces to devices, so I’ve been making them read before bed instead. (It came with some major resistance at first. But it’s slowly getting better. And it’s much quieter than any game or video. Ahhhhhh, the silence! 😉 ) And I am not going to complain if she’s reading the Bible over Minecraft.

If you’re looking for a Bible for a tween or teen girl, I definitely recommend this one. It’s the perfect size, and is the NIV version, so a little more easy to understand for someone their age.

Click here to check it out on Amazon.

As she continues to read and use it, I pray His words stay hidden in her heart.

And I pray this image of her reading His Word stays hidden in my heart, as well.
