Keep Shopping Simple: 2019 Holiday Gift Ideas

Do you ever need a simple and quick shopping guide for holiday gifts? I know I do.

It never fails. I never seem to have good holiday gift ideas.

Every year during the holiday shopping peak season, I get flustered and annoyed (with myself) for not immediately knowing what to buy the people in my life as Christmas gifts. I tend to ask around my friend circle what to get and for who … and I feel like a chump for not being able to figure it out myself.

I hate that feeling.

But when we’re bombarded with marketing from all angles, it gets overwhelming to find simple and quick holiday gift ideas. Which is why I decided to put together a short and SIMPLE holiday gift ideas list for you, with a few items for each person in your life. The list isn’t long, because I know I get overwhelmed with a lot of ideas, so these are only the top items I’m loving.

(Plus, I’ve added a couple BONUS item ideas! Booyah!)

I hope this is helpful in keeping your life simple in your search for holiday gift ideas.

I’d love to hear what you pick — leave a comment for me!

Holiday Gift Ideas for HER / YOU:

THE GYM PEOPLE Thick High Waist Yoga Pants with Pockets, Tummy Control Workout Running Yoga Leggings for Women

Got someone who works out? Is it you? Maybe they (or you) don’t work out, but love the leggings anyway… Then BRING ON the $20 leggings!! (Sorry, Lululemon… you’ve been replaced with this unicorn legging.)

I bought these several months ago, and am obsessed. I went back for more color options (which there is a plethora of). Ankle-length, capri, high waist, regular waist, black, blue, purple, marble… whatever you want, this legging has it. My fav parts are the pockets — not just on the side of the legs, but a special phone pocket hidden in the back waistband.

Yep. Give me all the pockets, give me all the comfort, give me all the leggings.

More for Mom: Living Your Whole & Holy Life

You know I had to put this in here, right? Because it’s a message that’s so needed!

I wrote this book as a stepping stone to help work-hard moms reset their spiritual and emotional health, habits, and relationship with God. There are performance pressures at work, home, and mind-sets that affect a mom’s ability to feel complete and live more closely aligned with God. This book includes the beginning steps for moms to walk in wholeness and holiness by asking God for more.

Holiness Circle Necklace, by The Daily Grace Co.

You know I love me some jewelry and any reminder I can wear of God and who He is. This gold necklace is the perfect reminder of His holiness. It’s simple, pretty, and understated. I love it.

If you don’t like this one, there are plenty of other options like it at The Daily Grace Co.

If you’re one to buy yourself a gift, get this. If not – send this link to your husband, your mom, your inlaws, your best friend, whoever is wanting a nice gift idea for you.

Holiday Gift Ideas for HIM:

Study the Word Journal

Does the dude you’re buying for do Bible study often? What about a guided journal for intentional Bible study?

He can use it for any passage of the Bible he’s studying, as it guides users through any passage of Scripture with guided questions and instructions to help the reader study any passage of Scripture.

Trust Campfire Mug

Coffee is good. So is trusting in the Lord. 😉

This mug is a great stocking stuffer, and we all know there is no such thing as too much coffee.

Gift Card

When all else fails, snag yourself an Amazon gift card for him or one to his favorite store (even if it’s someplace like Lowes or REI.) You can’t go wrong with offering money.

Holiday Gift Ideas for the KIDDOS:

Boogie Board Writing Tablet

This board is PERFECT for road trips, waiting in line at the post office, or hanging out at home. My friend first introduced me to this particular boogie board and I knew I had to get our own when my 3 girls kept fighting over them. 🙂

Hydro Flask Bottle

Apparently (according to my 10 year old) Hydro Flasks are all the rage at her school. Which is good, because that means I’m a cool mom who has one too. 😉 (Just kidding, it’s my husband’s.)

But seriously, the kid version of these water bottles are super cute, come in a ton of color options, offer a spill reducing straw lid, and keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours.

And apparently you’re kid will be “cool” if they have one too.

Kiwi Crate

These are hands-on science and art projects delivered for kids from infant to 16-ish years old.

I just recently heard of Kiwi Crates and where have these been all my parenting life??

You can also save 60% on 1st month with code AWESOME and FREE shipping on all subscriptions. Get on it, my friend. Your kiddos are going to love this.

For everyone:

Dwell Differently

Okay, this is the one I need everyone to get for themselves and their families. This has been my favorite thing BY FAR in my life this fall. It’s a monthly membership to help you memorize one Scripture verse a month. For as little as $7/month, you get a key card, temporary tattoos, and a 4.5×5 print of a design created to help you get God’s word into your brain and heart.

They have individual plans and family plans. I started with individual, but moved QUICKLY up to the family plan because my kiddos were stealing my tattoos and verse cards! Ha! There is not one negative to this gift, in my opinion. You won’t be sorry for gifting this to yourself and your family.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. – Psalm 119:11

Dyson Cyclone Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner

I was tempted to put this one under “For Him”… buuuuttt I had to be fair, because every person in our family uses this vacuum. So it’s not under him or her, but everyone.

Y’all. I don’t know where this Dyson has been all my life, but we were gifted this vacuum several months ago and I’m never going back.

She sucks up EVERYTHING, hangs neatly on a wall charger, and is easy to clean. Yes, please.

AirPods

Alright, alright – technically I don’t have these … yet. But they are so high on my WANT list, I felt compelled to list there here for you too.

The simplicity of these without wires, auto-turn on, easy charging are the major draw. Life is complicated enough without getting tangles

Oh, and the new AirPods Pro with noise cancellation? I’m here for it.

Away Luggage

I have eyed Away luggage for years. And it’s finally in my cart. This is the year I start traveling with Away. My favorite part of Away is the battery option and the practicality of it’s design.

Gift the gift of smoother travel to anyone on your list. With 100 day free trail and free shipping and returns, none of us can go wrong.
